    Help rubber 1 inch fall inside v drive on filler plug

    I was trying to change oil fluid of v drive using extractor through the filling plug the rubber hose stuck inside when I pull it got stuck inside got cut inside
    1/half inch left inside the v drive what to do now ? Shall I run the boat and get it smashed chewed inside?

    I don’t know what v-drive you’re dealing with but none of them are going to like a piece of rubber in there. If you can’t get it all out with something like a metal pick, you’re going to have to disassemble the v-drive enough to get it out. With the older units like a Walters that should be doable while it’s still on the boat. If it’s a newer one like the PowerPlus, you may need to remove the v-drive and crack it open.

      Absolutely, do not run the v-drive with a piece of rubber inside. That isn't going to end well. Pieces of chewed of rubber will clog every valve and passage in the transmission.

      You may want to try a boroscope to get a better idea of where the piece is at the moment.
