Water Pump to Thermostat Hose replacement

Does anyone have the procedure for replacing the 1-3'4" hose from the pump to the thermostat and the smaller section of hose? Am I able to just remove the hose and reinstall or am I looking at having to remove parts?

It's probably much easier to remove the pump to install those hoses than trying to wedge them in there. May not even be possible to wedge that smaller one in w/o removing the pump.

If you were going to try it, make absolutely sure you have the right replacement hoses and then cut the old hoses off. The new hoses will be much more flexible than the old ones. But if it were me, I'd just remove the pump because I think that'll end up being the fastest way.

OK, just replaced the water pump. It was a pain because I didn't have room to remove the entire thing without taking off the backside where the impeller sits in order to pull it out. Trying to get it back together, along with the gasket, plate, screws, and sliding it all together was frustrating. I'm hoping that I may be able to just loosen it up enough to fit in there. The reason I am replacing is because when I squeezed this hose the other day, I felt some crunchiness. I'm thinking maybe the hose is going bad. I was able to buy the kit off Nautique Parts, just need to cut the hose to size.

Also, I will have to see when I get in there, but that J hook piece looks bolted to the block so maybe once I get the pump out of the way, I can unbolt that piece to get the new hoses on easier. Thanks for the help!
