    Hot sea water shower

This is my idea for wakeboarding in winter, may be some one had same idea and done? by this way one can get warn with endless warm sea water to shower, the heat is from engine. Would like to hear ideas how to construct?

    RE: Hot sea water shower

You can buy a hot/cold shower from Skidim for about $200,- . To make it yourself it's really easy and cheap.

Tap the hotwater from the port engine draining hole. Route this wire to the hotwater on the mixer.
Tap the coldwater between the engine raw-waterpump and the engine itself. Tap this with a T. Route this wire to the coldwater on the mixer.
The output of the mixer is the input of a 3gpm waterpump.
The output of the waterpump is the input for a shower head.
Connect the waterpump to the key path and a switch.

    That's all.

      Hot sea water shower

my idea is not use water tank, by some way to get continuous hot water when engine is running once turn on the hot water tap. like water come out from exhaust. but that is not clean for body.

Richard, thats exactly what hot water showers (as described by Laptom) do. They dont use a tank. The mixing valve is necessary unless you want 160 degree water coming out of the shower. The pump will probably be necessary if you want any significant flow. Without a pump, I imagine you wouldnt get much flow out of the shower head if you raise it much above engine height.

Richard I would guess that you have closed cooling so cannot get your water from the engine block. you should be able to get it from the raw water cooling hose immediately after the heat exchanger or from the heat exchanger itself. if there is a drain plug in the raw water heat exchanger you should be able to tap into it and get your hot water there. I do not have closed cooling so someone that does will have to help you from here.

            Hot sea water shower

Thanks for posts input, your experience is helpful for me to construct the hot shower,(tap hot water from heat exchanger) that make us can active in winter, our temp in winter about10-20C, also, had some body construct a cabin on their inboard boat, so can maintain a warm room by heater?

There was a post from an owner that was selling their boat in oregon. The Bimini cover they had had side curtains and attached to the windshield I think that would work.

                Hot sea water shower

Rick, you are righ,I have a close cooling system as my boat use in salt water, I have a clear idea to construct the hot shower that will supply endless hot water for warm ,but this will decrease the cooling effect of manifold and riser when show is using?

Actually as you pull the hot water out of the exchanger more cold water will be pulled in. This will increase cooling to the exchanger.
