    Swapping Used Keypads

Swapping the original keypad (on a 2009 SAN230) for a used keypad.

Seems to function as normal (bilge/blower/horn are operating), just waiting for the correct code to be entered.

After entering the factory master code nothing happens.....

Is there a specific process for swapping out the original keypads with used keypads?

I swapped in a new keypad on my old 2006 and it’s essentially plug and play. I don’t believe the gateway has any stored info about the old keypad. Only difference is when new there is no key code programmed in to unlock the boat, you just hit start and your running. In your case just make sure you have the correct master code and follow the instructions to set a new pin, or clear it depending on your preference.

given the keypads do go over time, why not just get a new one? I know they are expensive, but I’d rather have piece of mind that everything works than saving $400 USD.
