    1975 CC SN restoration

I just purchased a 1975 Correct Craft Ski Nautique. I learned to ski courses and jump behind one on the lake I currently live on in the early 80's. The previous owner replaced the stringers and flooring, rebuilt the velvet drive, and repacked the prop shaft and rudder. The 351 cold started perfectly and the hull seems to be in good shape. It needs some glass work, new gel coat, interior and chrome restoration. All gauges are intact, although faded. I'm told one of the speedos is accurate, the other is not. I'm going to pull the engine and velvet drive, flip the boat and start glass work and get ready for new gel coat. I would like to send the gauges out to be restored, I found a place in MN called Kocian Instruments on line. Has anyone dealt with them? Are there other suggestions for gauge restoration? I figure they will be gone awhile so I'd like to get them out ASAP

A number of years ago a couple of us on Correct Craft Fan had our Teleflex tachs re done. What he had to do was remove the original insides and convert it over to Autometer insides. I do think that since then the business was sold. Anyway it took well over a year for the both of us, was not cheap and was disappointed that he did not redo the face, you can see it's faded. It worked fine but was not about to send it back in to do the face since it had taken so long. After it was all said and done about another year later I found a NOS one for under 100 dollars and put that one in. The first picture is the tach that was redone, the second one is the NOS. Dale Kocian was the owner/restorer see if he's still there and see what the turn around time is- he always said he'd get it done in a month- about after 6-7 months the two of us would switch off calling him every month

Thank you. I found Seattle Speedometer in Ellensburg, Wa that says he can restore all of the gauges. I have boxed them up and they will go out tomorrow. I will let you know how long it takes and the quality of work!
