My stock alternator is 60 amps. I'm planning to switch it out to the PCM 100 amp alternator with blue seas add a battery.
My question is the stock alternators + goes alt-starter relay solenoid-starter. I want to take the alt-starter relay leg out and go alt-battery switch as my battery banks are larger and in my mind back charging through the starter and 60 amp relay fuse does not make sense. Is there any reason not to do this?
Question 2 the new starter has a serpintine belt as all the other pulleys are v belt. does anyone have the part numbers to switch them out to the modern pulleys or is this a fools errand.
Appreciate the insite and help!
