2015 Super Air 210 Ballast Impeller and Spark Plug location for self-service

I took my 2015 SAN 210 in to get ready for summer. It needs new spark plugs and new ballast impellars.

I told them not to do that, I think I can do it myself.

I'm assuming the spark plugs are just underneath this black cover, see below. Does anyone have experience with the ZR 450 and can confirm that or tell me where the spark plugs are located. My assumption is they're easy to get at.

Are the ballast impellers also easy to get at?

Any advice on this would be helpful.

Honestly... if you're having to ask where the spark plugs are located you probably should have let "them" do it!

To answer your question though... they are NOT under the black cover. They are located under the red catalyst exhaust risers on either side of the engine. You should be able to see the spark plug wires coming down from the coil packs mounted on top of the valve covers to each spark plug.

There are a few posts, and youtube videos on changing the impeller.
I picked up an impeller puller (I know I didn't pay $90 & some change for it), have never needed to use it. But every once and a while they can be a little stubborn coming out. I might try it out next weekend. I change mine out every 2 seasons, some say every season, depending on your hours.
Ditto core-rider, a little nervous about the spark plug thing, but you'll figure it out. Never hurts to ask. At all costs, don't break one off in the head, if they aren't budging, hit them with penetrating oil, and let them soak overnight. You only break one off once in a lifetime, and then you'll figure out why that was a bad move.
Do a photo write up of both and post it, it'll maybe help someone down the road.

Thanks Scooter G! Agree, I'm sure I could find the spark plugs but thought I'd ask since I can't see them in the picture I posted and the boat is getting serviced. I'm sure I'll be fine but thanks for the heads up on breaking them off and using penetrating oil if they won't budget.

On the impellar, I'm having them replace the raw water impellar but am going to change out the ballast impellars myself. Just wondering if all three pumps are easy to get at. I believe they're all int the rear of the boat but will have to look when I get the boat back.

Ballast impellers are cake, unless your pumps are mounted upside down, then it adds just a little spin to the mix. I believe there are also some good threads on that. It's almost self explanatory when you look at them. I pull 2 of the 3 screws, loosen one a little and slide the cover to the side to expose the impeller. You're ok to be a little aggressive on the removal, you are not trying to salvage anything here. But if you can get one out with no harm, it's good to keep for a spare backup. Color check before ordering to make sure you are on the right path, I think yours are green, but double check. Use the PN discount code.
