Just rebuilt my GT40 engine 40 over and put a roller cam in. Started up and things run great but once I hit 3000 rpm its like there is a limiter on there. My perfect pass didn't turn on so going to work on that and see if that could be what is causing the issue. Anyone ever run into this before?? Any help would be appreciated.

Rebuilt the top end? All the top end bits were pulled apart and reconnected? I'd start by checking the assembly. Make sure all the linkages and cables are correct. No impingement or PPs getting in the way. Hopefully it's something simple vs a setup issue with your cam.2004 206 Air Nautique Limited - Black with Vapor Blue (family style)

If your Perfect Pass didn’t power up, then it didn’t pre-tension the throttle servo. That’s most likely the problem. It’s limiting your throttle travel.Comment

Had i running good once and now on the PP module under the dash because it was acting up again I was looking at it and where the RPM sensor plugs in. The part of the module pulled out from being old and kind of rotted the plastic. Can I bypass the PP. Someone on facebook said I could turn the dial on the PP also but that par in the engine compartment is so hard to turn I am afraid I will break it. If you don't care about having the perfect pass, then just un-install the perfect pass servo from the throttle linkage in the engine box. Go to the perfect pass website and look at the install instructions. That'll give you the info you need to un-install the servo and connect the throttle linkage back directly.Originally posted by 01OGsuperair View PostComment
