Depends on the pump. Some pumps will flip, and some won't.

You might be right, come to think of it, not sure my Supra would of flipped. The shaft design was not centered, which put the vanes on one side of the case tight, almost flat. Difficult coming out, miserable going in.

When you run with perks switch or a water hook up, make sure the seacock for the pick up off the bottom of the boat that normally feeds the strainer is closed, otherwise you could be losing water and pressure out the bottom…. And of course don’t forget to open it after your done!

ID:	676447My mechanic diagnosed our issue as needing a new raw water pump. That’s well-supported on the Facebook group if you search “water pump.”

guys... thanks for you all's responses. I had let my brother install the FakeALake, and he put it on poorly, leaving an air gap in the "plunger" part. This was confirmed because I tested the boat after installing the plunger myself, VERY carefully, and worked just fine from the get go. Either way, freaked me out, and the responses here assured me it was a poor install causing the loss of vacuum. Ended up putting on a new impeller.
