Correct way to use the Engine Flush (2016 G23)?

I realized my boat (2016 G23 w/ 550) has the Fresh Water Engine Flush System installed from the factory (similar to the image below), and I'd like to start it up in my driveway in a few weeks, and wanted to double check the correct way to use it...in the past I used a fake a lake, but it didn't have good suction and I'm not a fan.

My understanding is that I start the boat, and then turn the water on (all the way), and I should see water come out of the exhaust shortly after. Is there anything else I need to do? I read somewhere that I may need to close the water intake valve?

    Thanks.

Sorry, not going to of any assistance here. I will say, as you mentioned would be exactly how I would do it. Not sure you need full crank on the water supply. We run about 60 psi here, and that is way more than that engine will suck out of a 3/4" hose. Monitor your engine temperature during the process.

So, I didn't even know that was a thing. I would love to see pics of the whole system, that's pretty slick for sure. Not sure it's $375 worth of slick, maybe.

Boat is in storage right now, but happy to send pics when I pull it out. I bought the boat used, so the previous owner added this option.
