    Linc screen dead when updating

This morning I hit the update button on my linc screen (2023 ski 200) and it went completely black and now is completely dead. The buttons work below but the screen will not turn on. Is there anyway to override the system without taking it to the dealer?

I assume this is a LINC Panoray screen? I'm not that familiar with what they are installing in the 200 these days. I've done tons with the older 7" screens. Not that much with the Panoray screen. Just got my hands on one and I'm starting to figure out all the ins and outs of these next generation screens.

Sounds like the software update failed and partially loaded and bricked the screen. Depending on how much of the software is corrupted, you may or may not be able to recover the screen w/o sending it back to Nautique or potentially even Ennovation Controls.

On that screen, the way you get it into bootloader mode, so you can load new firmware from a USB thumb drive, is to hold a magnet to the round embossed circle on the back of the screen. If the bootloader come up, then you can load the firmware from a USB drive. I'd try first to see if you can get the bootloader to come up. If you can, then contact your Nautique dealer to see if they'll send you a USB drive with the latest firmware for your boat.

Personally, I wouldn't do online upgrades on any of these screens. I don't know why Ennovation Controls has so much trouble providing a reliable online firmware upgrade. But everyone that uses their screens, which includes MasterCraft, Nautique, and many other boat and pontoon makers, seems to have no end of problems with the online update feature.

Brought it to the dealer. Sounds like they were able to fix the problem. Not exactly sure what caused it. What I am sure about though is I will not be doing anymore updates unless it’s the dealer that’s doing it lol
