Need Help: Excess water in the bilge of 2019 Super Air Nautique G23

We recently just put our boat in the water for the season and after a few times going out noticed that the bilge fills up unusually fast. We pulled it onto the lift and realized that water only flows in when the engine is on. In order to attempt to isolate the leak we pulled the boat completely up and hooked the engine up to a hose to see if the water would still leak and it did.

I looked at the packing around the shaft and I don’t believe thats the cause of it. All the winterization drain plugs are fully in and not leaking either. There are no obvious leaks however the water still pools up at an abnormal rate.

Any ideas? (We are not the greatest mechanics so don’t be afraid to shout out something obvious)

Did you check the plug at the base of the v-drive? You have to move the rear seat, open the little hatch, remove the plastic container, and reach WAY down to the base of the v-drive. That plug is sometimes forgotten.

You could just open up the hatch and remove the tray, then start the boat and see if water is flowing from there.

Does the boat have a heater? If the heater wasn't winterized properly the heater core could have cracked and then water will come out there when the engine is running.

That’s it!! We were not aware we had to winterize the heater. Any ideas on a temporary fix until we can fully replace the heater?

By 2019, the heater should have been running anti-freeze from the engine, not raw water. Are you SURE that's where your issue is?

No, the heater shorted out that’s why it broke. It wasn’t the winterization
