351 heads and commander port size difference 1985 ski natique

After pulling the heads to repair a blown head gasket and a valve job It appears that the exhaust ports on the heads are smaller than the ports on the commander exhaust manifold.

manifold gasket 1-3/8 x 1-1/16 which lines up with the heads.

Commander exhaust manifold ports 1-3/4 x 1-3/16. Is this normal? Do I have the wrong gaskets? ANy help would be greatly appreciated.
