The engine temperature and fuel level gauges function on an intermittent basis. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. And the background LEDs don't light when the navigation lights are on. So I pulled the instrument console and disconnected/reconnected the plugs for all the gauges multiple times to ensure good electrical contact.
When I started to re-install the console, I noticed that I had two identical female plugs that fit the console plug. Based on wiring gauge I'm pretty confident on which one to use during reassembly.
The extra plug has smaller gauge wiring. I'm guessing that the wiring harness is used in multiple boats, hence the additional plug for a different system than the Faria gateway setup?
