2007 SANTE - Transmission Cooler Plug Threads Messed?

Hi, 1st post here, I’m hoping somebody can help.

Purchased a new to me 2007 SANTE with 330 Excalibur. Noticed when winterizing that there was no plug in the engine oil cooler and water must have been leaking out into the hull last summer.

over the winter, ordered new brass plugs including 1/4” which I thought would fit. Doesn’t fit at all and am now wondering if the old owner intentionally left it out due to damaged threads. Can anyone confirm the type of plug and thread spec? This would be greatly appreciated. Picture below.

When looking at the engine from passenger area, this is located on the left side of the engine block near the output shaft end of the block. I believe it’s a water drain plug on an oil cooler. The transmission is a little closer to the front of the boat.

Update: dealership is trying to help but parts fiches don’t show anything in this boss on the block. It’s located just above the engine oil pressure sender. Anyone have access to theirs to confirm what’s mounted there or be able to snap a picture? If you follow the remote oil filter lines down to the block and look a few inches above, you’ll see the pressure sender and this boss.
