    RE: Acme Recommendations

I believe that the 1442 is the prop I mentioned before- its a mirror image of the LH prop theyre putting on the Mastercraft 1.26:1 powerslot boats (MCX motor). Im surprised they are able to recommend it- Acme told me to call back in the spring so I could test it. Personally, I dont see how they are going to get more top speed out of a prop with the same pitch and less cup. My understanding is that a larger diameter will improve the holeshot, but hurt top end. I'll have to try this new one back to back with the 470 or 612.

      RE: Acme Recommendations

      TRJ,

Sounds like you have had as many props on your Ski as I have had on my 211. I too have noticed some things that are not as they seem they should be. The difference between my 536 and 644 was quite noticable even though the only difference on paper is 0.25" diameter. It would be interesting to see how these props deflect under load? I wonder if Acme cuts some thicker or thinner than others. I wonder how they would respond to heat treating or annealing?

Mike, only 3 so far- Im hoping to try a few more this spring and compare them all back to back. I am very curious how they will all perform.
