    EX 330 Water Temp.

Does anyone run a 140 degree thermostat in the EX 330? Do you notice any difference in performance?

My 2003 SN216 has the Ex 330 and my OM calls for the 160 degree thermostat. Right now I have been dealing with issues where my temps have been running in the 145-155 range and since I replaced my new 160 degree tstat a few weeks ago and the performance isnt any where near what it should be. I am ripping it apart this AM since I think the tstat I was sent is a 145 degree one.

A colder thermostat would tend to reduce the performance of your engine. Is that what you're asking?
