I lost the exhaust flapper cover on my 2007 Air Nautique 220. I purchased and installed a replacement using just the clamp, but it came off the second time I went out. I tightened the clamp as much as possible. If I overtightened it, the cover popped right off. It looks like the old exhaust cover may have had some type of glue on it but I can't find anything about that. The old one came off very easy which seems odd if it was also glued. Thoughts?

I don't believe any adhesive is used on the flapper. I did them on my python Super Sport and both flappers just had the hose clamp. Did that years ago when I got the boat and never lost either. I assume its the same process on your 220 but I can check the setup on my 230 next time I step outside. Where did you get the part? You sure its the right size for your exhaust outlet? I don't know if there is a difference in exhaust setup but do you have the ZR6 or the Excal?Shawn
