Is there a way to determine if the High Pressure Fuel Pump is functioning or not without hooking up a fuel pressure gage? After cycling the ignition (without trying to start), if I press the schrader valve and fuel just kind of seeps out but doesn't spurt out like it's under pressure, isn't that a sure sign it has a problem? What about opening up the FCC and checking for twelve volts at the fuel pumps terminals? Couldn't I disconnect the power from the low pressure pump, so it doesn't push fuel into the FCC, and turn the key on and see if I have 12 volts at the pump. Would I hear the pump run if it's functional and has power? How common is it for the high pressure fuel pump to fail? Should I just replace it anyway to make the boat more reliable? I'm just not finding any good answers on here or YouTube. Makes me think it might just be a rare problem.

It was the fuel pump fuse. I didn't realize there were three fuses in the engine compartment. They aren't mentioned in the owner's manual.Last edited by ELECTROMAN; 07-26-2024, 09:46 AM.
