I'm in Michigan so with Acme only about 1.5 hours away it's hard not to go with them. UPS Ground gets the prop there the next day and back in a day once the prop is done. I didn't have a spare at the time so I bought so I ended up buying a new one from Prop Depot in TN. Got the new one from PD 2 days later and the repaired one from Acme a week after that but again, they're 1.5 hours away.
Still swinging the new one from PD so I couldn't tell you how good the repair was but it looks good. Hopefully I won't have to find out.Comment

Thanks again for the plethora of prop shop options.
Sent the prop in on 7/19 to Prop Depot, got it back yesterday 8/7. About a 13 day turn around not counting weekends, and we did ship it out on a Friday.
Not light speed, but I'm sure this is the grand height of prop repair season.
Unnnfortunately, prop still had a ding on one of the blades. I think if it says "Fragile" FedEx plays soccer with the box before they "throw" it on the truck. We've had our blows with them lately.
Emailed PD this morning, they sent me a next day label within 5 minutes, and now off to the rodeo again.
Thanks BasaltRMK for the High Altitude backup Prop, it will get used next week.

Back from a trip running BasaltRMK's High Altitude Prop @ 6500' elevation (Thanks Bob!). Super torquey.
It still took a bit to get up to speed running full ballast wakeboarding but it did the job. Running empty, it reminded me of our old outboard ski boat, 0 to 30 in 6 seconds. RPM's were a little higher than normal but not out of line. The surf tugs were better than normal at lower altitudes. Probably burning a little extra fuel, but when gas is $8 something per gallon at the Marina pump, who's counting. I'll keep it on for a pull on our home turf @ 2800' just to see.
We ran the stock prop last year and with crew and full ballasts at 6500' we could not get up to plane for wakeboarding. We had to cut back to 75% fill to hit 22 to 24 mph.

There are LOTS of good prop repair shops. Personally, I go with Bobby Soles down in Florida. https://www.bobbysolespropeller.com/
They really do everything they can to turn a prop around in a day. I've sent one out on a Monday and had it show back up on Friday. More than once...

I second Nettle Props! Just left them today, only 30 mins from me. Super nice guys and I went in to repair a prop and left with a new one they installed. And gave me $75 off repair of my old one to have as a back up.Comment

Recap:
Prop out the door to Prop Depot round 1 on 7/19, came back with shipping damage, sent it back to them, arrived on my door step again this Saturday 8/24. Not great, but not horrible with about 5 to 6 weeks of Season left.
So here in lies my dilemma; Prop doesn't look all that great. The Props I've had repaired in the past with way more carnage, with other repair shops, have come back virtually perfect. This one, well not so much.
What would you do, run it and see how it plows, or say, send it back, not good enough Boys? (By the way, that's not shipping damage this round)

Nat a satisfactory repair IMO; should look like new out of the box. Maybe bite the bullet, get a new one, send this one back AGAIN unitil it's right and use as a spareComment

Thanks for the feedback. Maybe could beat on it a little, but probably shouldn't have to.
I'm in good shape here, I've got the High Altitude on that I got from BasaltRMK, and the stock prop for back up. This one is the new middle between stock and the H.A. that I picked up in the Spring this year (that is to say it "was" new).
I may just find a new shop, and call it an out of pocket loss with these guys... I've got a good list to choice from, thanks all!Comment

I was doing well this year. As I was cleaning up after last weekend, I noticed a ding that the wifey forgot to mention to me. I guess it will go back in for repair after the season!
