I had a Jabsco 18670-6127. It came with the boat but I had to remove it for various reasons. The other two ballast pumps still on the boat are this same model and they work great.
I thought I bought a replacement but they sent me a 18660-0121.
Two issues I've noticed with this pump compared to the 1867 are...
1. It is much slower and
2. it struggles to fill or drain. I have to press the button multiple times, sometimes as many as 20 before it will start to drain or fill. Each time it doesn't work it throws an error (picture below).
I have available to me an 18220-5127.
Should I use the 18220, the 18660 or try to make the 18670 work?
My main confusion is in why the one throws circuit faults. I am confused by the features that say it'll switch directions automatically (or they are reversible) and some imply you have to switch the directions yourself with a rocker switch. I would assume all three of these pumps are reversible but maybe I'm wrong. Obviously, with my Nautique, I want it to do whatever I tell it to do at the helm (drain or fill).
Please help if you can!
