    Help Troubleshooting Ballast Gauge Issue

We have a 2020 GS22. The belly ballast gauge keeps jumping to 90-100% full, even when we know it's empty. When we start the boat, it asks us if we want to switch to the "Return to Dock" user, even though we know that's where we left it. The link display says the belly ballast is full, so we tell it to empty it. We let it go to 0%, and then if for example we activate the surf settings (all bags full), it tells us that the belly is already full and we're not able to fill it.

Is this a bad ballast gauge? Something else? If it's the gauge, how hard is it to replace it? Our local dealer where we bought it dropped the Nautique line, and now the closest authorized service center is 3.5 hours away. It's still covered under warranty but I'm not sure if it's worth the drive.

    Thanks in advance!

If it were me, I'd make the drive and perhaps make a little vacation out of it if you can.

My guess is it's the sensor in the ballast tank. If it's under warranty, they'll fix it to 100% (or they'd be expected to). I'd prefer that over paying someone else or trying to fix it yourself. Just bite the bullet and go visit the dealer and make them fix it.
