Is this my carb leaking?

I just picked up a 93' ski nautique 2001 with 425 hours on it. I did not notice this leaking during the water test. I picked it up a few weeks later after the water test and it had not been driven since. Is this fuel/other mixture of crap coming from the carb? It looks like oil. I checked everywhere else, this is the only spot. Right above it there is the small green gasket that looks like its also moist. Looking forward to taking this out for the first time but I wanted to figure out this leak and change tranmission/engine oil first. Is this an easy fix? The guy mentioned that he had a custom plate made for the carb because he couldnt find the part online, but I think he may have been talking about the gasket? This doesnt seem to be related, but moreso that small green one. Should I fix this before using the boat? I wanted to take it out on it's maiden voyage this weekend, but this put a damper on things.

Yup, carb looks to be leaking. I would pull that bad boy off and do a carb overhaul. But first, we need to determine exactly which carby you have there. That isn’t a 4160 Holley…look at the external float adjustment hardware. Franken-mod. Take some more photos of the carb with the S/A removed. You also have the ProTec system, so keep an eye out for ignition system gremlins.

Something doesn't smell right in Denmark to me on this one to coin an old phase because.... well, I guess I'm old.

Before jumping in on a full rebuild, which is a great recommendation from Jonny, I would dig deeper on the carb to make sure what you have is a marine rated carb. I always worry when someone is making "custom" parts to make something work that should be a straight bolt on part. I could be easily wrong about this but I thought almost every carburetor on a ski boat was a 4160 which this doesn't appear to be. The throttle lever looks a bit hinky as well which makes me even more nervous. I know Holly 4160s are expensive and I've seen guys plug whatever on to get back on the water but I would recommend knowing exactly what you're dealing with.

This could all be correct but take it from a guy that survived a boat fire and check it out real good and don't put it back on the water until that leak is fixed at a minimum.

Or.... I could be completely wrong and you should just go bust it out.....

Wait he's not from Denmark, he's from PA, lol.
Just say no to an open fuel source/leak on any engine marine or other but especially marine.
Agree with JQ & Turner, something is amiss with that carb other than the leak...

It's a holley 4010 carb. I think it was the accelerator diaphragm leaking on the carb. I noticed the one screw was stripped, so it might have been leaking, and previous owner tried to tighten it more to stop the leak and stripped it. I'm ready to throw the carb back on, but everywhere I'm seeing says they have a spacer, and the Holley one online is 5/16" thick. Will a regular 1/8" gasket for a Ford 351 from fel pro not work here?

The gasket was pretty thin with no spacer. Am I good to put a fel pro or mr gasket that fits and is 1/8" thick? thats about what the one there was. I see from holley they sell 5/16" thick gaskets though.

So the screws stripped on the accelerator diaphragm for the carb. Spec says 25-30 in lbs. Well someone probably already stripped them. I didnt get close to that torque and they were spinning freely. I was able to get some screws and nuts to secure it, but after removing the carb I realized the gasket is slightly elongated at the one side for the pcv valve that's in the 1" spacer. So I'm SOL until I can get those in the mail. I'm see stains around the entire carb though so I'm thinking to avoid head aches, I might just buy the Quick Fuel M600 carb since it seems to be similar to the 4160, with some nice features added, and $300 cheaper. I do have some questions about the conversion. Do I need to buy another spacer to work with the QF?

I've only had this boat a few days so pardon my ignorance. The current spacer has the pcv valve going back to the engine with a 3/8 fuel line. Will the QF m600 have a valve so a new spacer wouldn't need to have that valve built in?

I'm trying to determine all parts I would need so I can hopefully get on the water next weekend.

I was thinking:
-24" fuel line since the bowl location is now on the other side
-fire arrester extension to clear adjustment screws on QF
-gaskets?
-spacer (regular without pcv valve)?

I would really appreciate some guidance
