just got the dtc3104 code on my 2018 g23 about 2 weeks ago ran fine no issues. then did it a couple more times last week no sputtering or anything. had a tech come check it out at my dock cleared the codes check fuel pump connection pigtails and all the pens. said it ran fine at the dock. got on the boat today and got the code 5 mins in and the boat starting missing kept popping up and wouldn’t take a ton of gas without missing. i’ve read about this code and i’m assuming there isn’t a clear cut answer. anyone have a solution to this problem?

What did you read, do share.
How many hours, what engine?
What maintenance have you done i.e. filters, plugs, etc?
You've seen the following PN thread..?

yeah I saw that thread i’ve searched about the whole internet looking for info. 352 hours on the boat.Saturday morning I checked all the fuel pump connections and even replaced the fuel pump relay. Ran fine for about 2 hours then code popped up but the boat still ran fine. popped up about 3 more times throughout the day but only sputtered one time. then today went off for about 3 hours popped up 2 times boat ran fine. gonna drop the boat off in a few weeks and have them do a full service on it. it is due for one hopefully that cures it. the dealer contacted pcm and the guy said he actually teaches classes and when this fault comes up the whole class dreads it bc it’s so difficult to diagnose. Friday was the only time really it’s ever caused me major problems.

Chasing the Gremlins, sorry, it will probably turn out to be something simple, hopefully.
Let us know, not a whole lot out there on this one.
What engine are you running?
A couple of posts referred to a high pressure fuel relay. Probably has nothing to do with the price of rice in China, but when is the last time you have changes out spark plugs, fuel filter, and the water separator?

H6. a year ago for the fuel filter and water separator. now the spark plugs closer to 2 years ago. 60 hours ago roughly for the both of these So i’m just going to go ahead and do all of that, it may have been this thread but i know a bad spark plug caused this for someone.Last edited by jdada14@aol.com; 08-04-2024, 10:36 PM.
