    Where are the block plugs on a PCM 5.7L located?

    I am trying to winterize my boat. I drained the strainer thing and pulled the exhaust manifold bolts, as well as the waterpump plug. I can't seem to find the engine block drains. There must be one on each side, but I don't see em'.

    I am assuming you have a direct drive with a new chevy motor???? if so on the L side you have a brass plug half way down the cylinder wall in the middle of the motor. On the right side you will look for a wire in the same location with a knock sensor I think. It should be about the diameter of a quarter. You will d/c the wire and use your open end wrench to take this out to drain the R side of the motor. Also, dont forget to drain your waterline to the tranny and the line at the front of the motor.

      Sorry I didn't mention it before.

      I have a 2006 210 Team. It has a PCM 5.7L Exalibur 330HP.

      Thanks for the info. I will have to make sure to do the tranny and the line at the front.

        There are also plugs on the Exhaust manifolds, one on each side, one on the circulating water pump. Disconnect the water line from the bottom of your raw water pump, and drain the transmission oil cooler of water. Drain the heater, and shower if your boat is equipped with those also. You also need to get any water out of your ballast tanks, and pumps. You might be able to remove the water from your ballast system by sucking the water out with a wet/dry shop vac on the out port on the side of your boat. Your owners manual should have detailed info in it.

          you also need to pull the plug from your vdrive unit. Use a ratchet handle and then start the boat up for a brief second to flush out any extra water from there. If you are unsure of what you are doing, take it to your dealer once to see how it is done. Insurance doesn't cover improper winterization!

            5.7 winterization

            Good Morning Mike,
            Winterization is simple on your package:
            Manifolds-1 plug in each side
            V-Drive- 1 plug under coupler on bottom of V-Drive
            Block- 1 on each side
            At pulley end of engine- 1 plug in bottom of "RED" elbow that connects to circulation pump
            Additionally, you might want to loosen and pull off the raw water supply hose at the bottom of the tranny cooler
            Lastley, I would reveiw the section in your owners manuals on this topic
            Suggestion, to work on the pulley end of the engine, lay a pc of carpet, foam or life vest to ease the pain to the ribs
