Perfect Pass Issue (2001 Super Air)

Hi everyone, this will be my first post after reading a lot of helpful messages on this site!

I own a 2001 Super Air Nautique which has had an issue with the Perfect Pass for quite some time now.
The Speed function does not work properly so I constantly ride on the RPM mode (which works terrible with full ballast because it keeps trying to get out of plane).
When using speed mode, the boat thinks we’re going way faster, even when almost laying still, and the boat will automatically let go of the throttle.
Does anyone have any idea of what could be the cause?

    Additional info:
The speedometer on the dashboard does not work, the faria gauge kit is necessary but hasn’t been done yet since I’m from the Netherlands, and importing stuff from the USA is VERY expensive.

I want to thank users on this site for helping me the past few years on resolving other issues, but I couldn’t find anything on here that sounded like the same issue I have.

Curious, what version of perfect pass do you have? If you have the paddle wheel, it's more of a mechanical diagnosis versus GPS (stargazer).

Which is indeed the paddle wheel version, what could be wrong with it?
I have not taken it apart yet. I would wonder why the perfect pass thinks we are going 30mph while we’re literally sitting still in neutral…

I’m looking into this option as of right now, but they are extremely expensive. In the USA, you have a set of the GPS system + multi line perfect pass gauge for around 950$.
Here in the Netherlands, after import, shipping and taxes, the GPS system itself goes for 1080$, and the gauge for 540$.
The Netherlands likes to steal from it’s people..

I would do some research on the paddle wheel. The first thing is to see if the paddle wheel under the boat moves freely and is not damaged. They do sell paddle wheel repair kits for the physical paddle. After that, you need to test the signal.

I would recommend you contact PP support to see what they think. They are really helpful.
