    Bilge issues

Replaced both bilge pumps and they work as intended when boat is docked. However once you start the boat the light goes solid and they never run. Cut the boat off and I have to hold stop for a few seconds to rest them then they go back to working as long as the boat isn't running with the normal flash speed. Boat stays in the water so instead of risking it I unplugged the front pump and wired directly to the battery. Anyone had this happen before?

And yes there's enough water inside to be pumped out from kids/adults being in and out all day

Why did you replace the old ones?
Were they malfunctioning the same way?
Did you replace them with the EXACT make and model as the old ones?
Do you still have the old ones? If so, and they still work, can you reinstall them and see if the symptoms change?

I know the pumps in the newer Nautiques operate different than the older ones I was used to. The old ones used a float system where as the new ones sense water and trigger need for operation on I believe current draw when the pump cycles. I would expect but can't say for certain that you would need a very specific pump for this implementation.

I replaced them because only one worked even when bench testing so figured might as well replace both while I'm at it. These are float style pumps so only two wires of the 3 are used. They are not the exact ones that were removed.
