Faria Gateway - Is it interchangeable among years / models?

I picked up a Faria gateway on eBay as a backup in the event the current one ever fails.

I have a 2006 Nautique 226 LE. The gateway I purchased is from a 2008 Nautique 196.

Both have the paddlewheel speed sensor, not the pitot tube.

The labels on the bottom of the gateway are identical to mine, however that is no guarantee that the circuits are identical.

Can anyone confirm interchangeability of these units?

LOL, I almost bought that. Mine's a GW0020, and that one was a GW0021, if I recall. I wasn't sure if it'd work for me, so I passed.

I'm almost certain you have to have a matching model number, so in the above case it wouldn't be compatible. As long as the model number matches you should be good to go.

I have no interest in pulling my gateway just to see what the sticker on top says. But MN Ryan, given that your boat is a 2007 with the GW0020, my 2006 likely doesn't have the GW0021 either.

Not everything that I throw at the wall sticks.

LOL, luckily, I can see the label on mine without pulling it--it just takes a little contortion to get under the helm. I tried to buy his set of gauges because I could use the oil pressure gauge, but it got too rich for me to take a chance on it.
