    Coolant leak - 2024 ZZ-8s

The title says it all - putting the plug in this weekend (last of the season) and found this. Degas bottle was low so refilled with 50/50 PG, per the manual. Taking the boat to the shop for the winter, will be curious to see what they find.

I know you have a heater in that rig. Am I seeing that right, it's coming from the front? Something didn't get pinned down tight, better at the end of Season than at the beginning.
How many hours did you get logged this Season?

Edit: Ha, never mind you answered my question, and I would say 115 is a good run Season

Scooter G - correct on having the heater option, but the stern is at the top of the pic. Coolant is definitely coming from the engine compartment, I can also see it pooled below the engine if I stick my neck in there. Spoke with my service guy at the dealer yesterday, he saw something similar on another 2024 G with the ZZ8S out on Powell this summer. Unfortunately he didn't know exactly what the fix was. But you nailed it - better to happen at the end of the season!

He also got another customer with my mid-summer phantom low oil pressure alarm, so he's pushing PCM on this. Hopefully everything will get shaken out over the winter.

Speaking of, for the very first time I'm having the dealer do a full winterization. I always do it myself (it's just pulling 6 quick-connect hoses on this engine, suck out any remaining water, pull the strainer, and _really_ drain the ballasts). I figured since this is a new boat I'd have the dealer also run antifreeze through the engine and ballasts just for extra insurance. Their rates are pretty reasonable so I figured why not?

As an aside, interesting that the ZZ6 has 3 quick-connect hoses to drain, while the ZZ8S has 6.
