Team gauge Hour meter

I have a 2008 SAN 230 with I believe the Team gauges with the digital hour meter on the bottom.
Well we hit 1000hrs last summer but the hour meter stopped at 999’.99
If I replace it with a new or used one will it reset ? Or just read that actual hours from the computer?
is there an updated version?

Based on what my 2016 boat did, it will start at zero. There should be a bunch of posts on this if you do a search.

Yes I did search but only really found alot of just run it and ignore it answers. Where did you buy the gauge, Nautique parts?
I'd like to replace it so I can still track usage for maintenance etc. Not interested in adding an aftermarket hour meter.
Anyone have a used gauge collecting dust ?

Turns out they cant get the gauges anymore so its either a full conversion or just ad another hour meter.
