Linc 2.0 Not Booting Up Consistently

I have a 2012 Sport 200V. The Linc 2.0 system is acting up some. I wait 20 seconds after powering up before hitting 'Start'. It used to boot up every time. Now it only boots about 3 out of 5 attempts. I cleaned all the connectors. What is going on? Is there some new software that can deal with this?

    Thanks.

It's not a software issue and can't be fixed with software. This is a fairly common problem on LINC screens. It's caused by an issue with the main computer board in the screen. The most common issue is too many memory blocks are failing on the NAND flash chip that contains the firmware and settings. It's expected that blocks will fail with NAND memory, and the chips have extra spare blocks built in so new spare blocks can be substituted for blocks that fail. But the bad block management built into the generation of the QNX operating system used on these screens isn't that great. So if too many blocks fail or become intermittent, or if block zero fails or becomes intermittent, then the screen stops being able to boot.

Send me a direct message on the forum if you want to discuss repair options.
