I own a 1995 Ski Nautique. Original motor and transmission. I noticed that when I turn the key to engage the starter, often nothing happens. It clicks, but the starter does engage, motor does not turn over. If I wait a minute or two with the key in the on position, then I turn to engage starter, the boat starts right up. This waiting period lasts even longer when it’s cold. Once I run the boat, then turn boat off, it will start right up no problem. I recently changed to a brand new battery. What do yall think most likely the issue is? Thanks in advance.
