I'm working on a new to me project boat that currently doesn't have an engine in it (I have an engine I will install in February).
My keypad will not unlock with the factory code for the boat. Blower, bilge, horn buttons on the keypad will work as expected with a locked keypad. I suspect the keypad has been swapped before and factory code doesn't match boat. I'm just wondering if the keypad needs to see something from the motor to allow unlock? I'd hate to order a new keypad and find out that it needs engine connected to work...
I want to test everything before I stick the motor in while access is easy. I know my blower is stuck, bilge pumps are fine, horn is stuck. Want to test the ballast pumps, stereo, lights, etc. also...
