What is this thing? (Fell off the back of the engine)

I was replacing the impeller on my 2004 SV211 with a 330 Excalibur engine when this thing fell into the bilge. What is it? I’ve looked at all the parts diagrams for this motor and don’t see anything like it. 10mm for scale.

it looks like some kind of keyed spacer but I don’t know where it could have come from. Calm lakes and good wakes to anyone that can help me out! Thanks

It’s a shim plate from inside the raw water pump. It came out when you changed the impeller. You should put it back in.

Finding a 10MM socket in the bilge should be the lead headline.
