I am having a problem where I cannot get the electronics to come on when I enter my startup code on my 2001 Pro Air Nautique. I have had it happen a few times in the past and I waited about 15 minuts and retried and it worked, now however I am wanting to sell this boat and have an interested buyer, but for some reason my code does nothing. Can anyone help me with this? Is there a master code that would work? I have had to recharge all the batteries and thought that might have caused the problem but I am unsure and cannot recover at this point. Any help would be great. Thanks

RE: Keyless Ignition problem
Check the smaller additional ground wire attached to the battery. Make sure that connection is not loose or your dash will do all sorts of odd stuff.

I did look at the grounding wires last night and they appeared to be okay, I have dual batteries in my boat and alot of wires that go to the them. Today when the dealerships open in Atlanta I will check on the master code. I am not sure how my personal codes could get wiped unless the power was drained off for too long maybe. due to the intermitent nature of the problem I kind of was hoping for the ground wire to be the fix but so far no go...

If your batterys are dead or shut off for any extended period of time it will loose your code info. The older keyless systems are more prone to this than the newer ones. It sounds like this is your issue with nothing happening now, as for the "glitch" where the electronics are not working.....I would take it to the dealer, sounds like the breaker box may be loose or something along those lines.

RE: Keyless Ignition problem
Okay, Ive gotten the master code.. I found out that the code I have always used is the master code.. I talked to the tech at the dealership and he suggested that I put my bilge pump switch in the "on position and try it, I did that and the panel lights up and as I put in the code the green led shows as I press each digit until I hit start. I do not see a light anytime I hit the start button and I am beginning to suspect that maybe the start section of the keypad is faulty?? Is there anyway to by pass this to check it. I hate the thoguth of having to have to replace the keypad at this point, but with a pending sale of the boat i may have to react quickly to resolve this any thoughts...
Thanks for everyones input so far it has been very helpful

RE: Keyless Ignition problem
Be sure you have plenty of voltage. Low voltage can make the keypad not work. Try a freshly charged battery. Good luckCurrent

Keyless Ignition problem
lost the code may be not your problem, since the code is written to the rom,any period of disconnecting battery will not lost the code, more likely, you have intermittent of the start button, but don't open it before confirm as it is a precise sealed enveroment inside,to confirm this, once you can start succesful, press 'stop' than test it by quick hit the start key,the panel will turn on,try couple times you will understand the button is good or not, once you can confirm key inermittent, you may think to open the package,of the key pack.

hey guys, i also have a problem...on my 00 air, when i shut it off, i press the stop button twice, come back 10 mins later and i dont have to enter the code to start it again. i talked to the dealer and they told me to enter the code again and press stop, but that doesn't work either. anyone know what else to do??

I had this same problem with my 05 ski. The dealer told me there was a problem with the Control module. It was over-heating, it would work intermittently, but then it stopped working. The dealer had to replace the module, that was 2 seasons ago. The dealer said it was a know problem.
