Ok I have the rear ballast in my 1999 Super air. I dont have the front. Thinking of puting a 500 pound sak in the ski locker. Can I tie into the rear auto pump of should I put a new one in. Also should I put more wieght in the back. I think it is like 450 pounds in the back? It already puts out a nice wake with MUCH POP with a few friends. Looking for some feed back. Also dont want to spend too much.

RE: Auto ballast
I have same thinking with you for my 01 SAN (put 400lb in middle,
I got the 400lb sac and pipe and pumps from my friends x-star,I would consider to make a new sea water inlet valve for quick filling, if you don't mind to drill a hole,it's a better way, rear tank holds 450lb is good enough for me .

RE: Auto ballast
i learned this from this site but you should definatley wire the center bag to a different switch so you can control the wake more. were trying to do the saem thing to our 01 SAN. Does anyone have any expirience wiht the integrated bow sac?

RE: Auto ballast
Our 2000 SAN always filled within 4 minutes or so. Standing still or driving. Emptying about the same, only on the fly it would take a bit longer.
Check the ballast lines and pumps.230 with ZR6 running on propane

RE: Auto ballast
on our 01 SAN it takes about 5-7 minutes depending on the speed of the boat to fill and about 10-12 to empty. check your lines and that'll explain why one tank fills faster then the other i believe but i may be wrong. Also make sure your place your pumps the right way or else they wont work as well. JROYAL has a really good diagram at his wakesiderides.com thing

Here is the diagram from JRoyal's setup:

As the rule you want about 60% of total weight in back with 40% in front (I am confused as to you stating that you make put more weight in back as well). So depending on the size of the sac that you put in the locker, you will have to adjust your rear weight (that you add in) accordingly.
Phat In Cincy has a great write-up on his ballast install with LOTS of photos too:
