balast pump winterize

Hi there,
Made an upgrade from a SN to a SAN. Manual says to winterize the balast pumps. Balast hose are shrink type hard coming of.
Anyone threw in some good ideas?

Jos, I do what the dealer said to do. I dont know if there is anything easier, this happens to work quite well for me. Take a 50/50 mix of antifreeze and water. A funnel and small tubing.....as the tubing must fit into the tank vent on the side of the boat. Pour about one gallon of the mix into each tank vent. After the vents are full simply run the drain pump for about 2 seconds then shut them off. Go through and shut off all your petcock valves for the intakes as well. If you have a SAN from 06 this will help to keep your impellers from drying out as well.
