    Battery Location

This is my first time to post a question on this board. I have been a member for a while but usually have found all the answers I have needed. Thanks to for the great info.

To my real question. I have a 2000 SAN and want to move the battery to the port side and add a dual battery set up. I looked at putting it under the observer seat but it takes up alot valuable storage space.

I was thinking about sinking them into the floor just under the rear couch on the port side. I thought I saw a pic on here a while back of that set up but I cant seem to find it now.

Any thoughts, pics or advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Jamie

    Hey Jamie,

I put a 2nd battery in my '01 last season and opted to put it directly in the nose to get a little more weight forward in the boat. Same as you, I believe I've seen some writeups on some earlier model Nautiques where the floor has been cut out and an extra battery recessed on the port side. More work than I'd be interested in doing, but it'd surely be a good location if you're up to the task. I agree that keeping storage space is key when deciding on a location.

You can see a few pix of mine in the bow on my wakeside rides page.
