    PCM 351

    How do you tell which model engine youve got- Im told I have a 1995 PCM 310 HP- Is there some sought of markings that distinguish the 310HP?

    If you have a carb it should be 240 or 260. If you have a GT40 injection it should be 310hp.

      what does the decal on the black plastic decal say? Is there a carburetor under the plastic piece?

        Carb'd ProBoss motors (which had GT40 heads) were rated at 285-300 hp.

          i have a 94 cb tique w/ the 351 w 5.8 h.o. pro tec motor...i was told by people at pcm and correct craft and dealers that the horsepower was 300...........i know the boat flys! :mrgreen:

              I believe the 3rd digit indicates that you have the GT40 heads. From memory, my 240hp motor started with PLDxxx. PCM or SkiDIM could tell you exactly what you have from the serial number. Im not sure if its a Proboss (carb), Proski (TBI) or GT40 (MPI). The carb and TBI look similar, but the GT40 looks quite different. All 3 were available in 1995.
