    riding in salt water??

after riding in salt water what should we do to look after or engine, it does not have fresh water cooling, we have to plug a hose in when we finished to flush it.... after disconecting the hose should we rev the engine to get rid of the water??

what else can we do currently we are doing nothing besides the fresh water flush.

    RE: riding in salt water??

thats what i do. i hear salt away works. my boat has been a salt water boat for many years, before i owned it and the guy i got it from didnt even flush it, at all i did a motor rebuild at 1500 hrs and had to replace a few more parts {heads, dont think i had to but wanted to, exhaust manifolds and timing chain cover}than i would have if it hadnt been a saltwaterboat. screw it. its where i live and im going to enjoy my boat.
