    Ski Nautique finally fixed!!!!

I Have a 97 SNCB GT-40 that would surge and lose power when the boat got warmed up. Took it to SECC and the guys spent about 80 hours trying to diagnose it. We're talking replaced both fuel pumps, gas lines, fuel filter, FCC, checked for fuel tank debris, both relays, oil pressure sensor, new ECM and a few more that I can't remember. They finally had to call PCM and see if they had any ideas and came to the conclusion it was the fuel pressure regulator. Jim, Art, Woody and Brian at SECC did a great job in not giving up and kept me in the loop as to what was going on. I was getting pretty discouraged.

Hope this helps others with similar problems and can't figure them out.

The fuel injected engine in your car has an O2 sensor that tells the computer how rich or lean it is running. If the engine is running rich or lean , the computer knows, and compensates, and will adjust, and sometimes turn on the MIL (check engine light) Boats do not have the feedback to the computer. The computer assumes the fuel pressure is correct. If you experiance any problems with a fuel injected motor in a boat, check the fuel pressure first.

At first the fuel pressure seemed ok, then it would drop out then come back up. They were very fair with the labor charge. When they took the old fuel pressure regulator apart they said it was all rusted inside.
