    When to change transmission fluid

I have an 06' 210 w/ the PCM 330hp engine. I was looking at the service interval and it says that changing the transmission fluid once a year is optional. My boat has about 100 hours on it and the fluid was changed at the 25 hour service. Does it need to be changed again? I haven't used the boat since Nov. but it is warm enough again to start riding.

I change mine every fall. It is pretty easy to do too.

Ditto, end of the season or 100 hours, which ever comes first. Then do it again before layup.
      I don\'t care.

Just get a manual hand vacuum pump that hold about 30-40cc. Suck out the fluid through the transmission fill tube. Repeat until you cannot suck up any more and and replace with the same amount of fluid.

... or get a drill pump. Inexpensive and much faster than hand vacuum pump.

I also change mine every fall + mid season if more than 50 hrs at that point.
Bought a suck-up vacuum pump from DIM and it is the best of any type I have owned/tried to date. About $60 but IMO well worth it, clean and easy to use, and always works.

I agree with the DIM vacuum pump.

Thanks guys, I am going to go ahead and do it a little earlier at 75 hrs, that way I don't have to worry about it for awhile.

oil and fluids are cheap maintenance items. oil change at 50 hrs. and trans. at 100 hrs. I would change it more often if you carry a larger load. i.e. ballast tank and people. this puts more strain on the trans. just like towing puts on your tow vehicle.
