any ideas on where to get an engine manual for the python from '00 SAN? I checked the manuals section here and it said '02 - '03. I think the python was slightly different in '00 right? 8.2 vs 8.1 or something...

I also own a '99 196 with a python. I do not believe a service or parts manual is available for sale. I checked with Midwest correct craft who called PCM and they said it is not available. They have to call PCM to get part numbers and info. If one is available I would buy it. Love the horsepower... -
Contacting PCM direct was the only way to get information on the engine. They said that they do not even have a manual as only about 20 of these engines (1999 8.2l) were ever made, but they will give advice on parts etc. that should be usedComment

Thanks for the response. I believe Mercrusier had a 502 I/O in '99. Is it the same GM marine engine with Mercrusier additions instead of PCM. Can anyone answer this question? If so, there may be a manual available by GM or Mercrusier which would help with a majority of the engine. Any idea of who to call at PCM for engine info? Thx kcComment
