Hello, I have had 2 CC Martiniques among other non CC boats and they were all inboards. To change the oil, I just got the hose out through the center drain plug and drained all the oil with no problem. Now I have a 210 with basically the same engine (351W aka GT40), and I took out the hose through the transom drain plug (only one in the boat) and the oil barely drips, it goes extremely slow. This was right out of the lake, after riding for like 2 hours (yes, the water was still cool at 55, but we could ride without wetsuits, and nobody else around so we could try to drain the oil right out of the lake).
So, I had hot oil, and it still drained very slowly. I think that I was not able to drain out more than 3 quarts. That means there are about 1.5 to 2 quarts of old oil left in the engine. Has anybody had this problem before with the v-drive boats?
