Break In Period...

How important is it to break in a new boat?I have known
friends to take out a new boat and start skiing,wakeboarding
immediately, myself I have always waited the break in period!
What do you Think??

I guess it would depend on how long you are going to keep the boat. Alot of them just start skiing because they are going to trade in a couple of years so they don't care as much. It never hurts to follow the manufacturers recommendations though.
