    oil pan gasket replacement.

    Hi guys.

We have a 2003 SAN. with a pcm excalibuer engine. I noticed we have a small amount of oil in the bildge... after feeling around the base of the oil pan(sump) it looks like it is acutally leaking from the drain hose at the connection, there doesnt seem to be a hose clamp on there. anyway hopefully putting a hose clamp on will fix our leak.

I'm curious though if anyone has changed the sump gasket on a SAN before? did you have to remove the engine ? or is there enough clearance in the bildge to drop the sump and avoid lifting the engine out.

    Cheers.

Have you tried to tighten this yet? Might save you some work...

        Thanks guys.

Tried to tighten it on the weekend, put a hose clamp around the drain hose also....forgot to check if it made any difference after our run on the weekend though.

Might try to remove the drain hose after the next oil change and see how it is leaking. Really dont want to go pulling the engine out. :???:
