Compression Test Results on a 2000 SAN

I just got a compression test done on a GT 40 engine over the weekend and I wanted to get some insight from some PCM experts on the results. The engine has 700 hrs. on it and the owner has done oil changes and such every 50 hours. He did all of the maintenance himself and the boat is extremely clean and well cared for and he is a very anal owner (which is great). The mechanic comments were that the compression test within the 20% variance limits and engine and mechical components were all in good shape. I plan to purchase this boat on Saturday so any help that you can provide would be appreciated. I will be test driving the boat as well so let me know if there is anything I should look out for. Please let me know what you think of the results and if there is anything that I need to be concerned about:

    Cylinder - PSI

    1 - 110
    2 - 125
    3 - 125
    4 - 125
    5 - 115
    6 - 125
    7 - 125
    8 - 125

    Numbers look good.

Was the test done with a warm or cold engine. If it was cold, I bet that 110psi cylinder would close up a bit, not that it's bad at 110.

I am pretty sure the compression was done cold since it was done with the fake-a-lake pump attached at the garage. I trust the mechanic but I wanted PlanetNautique perspective.

You could have your mechanic perform a leakdown test, but #'s are nominal if read cold.

            RE: compression

The seller is out of state so I wanted a compression test done before I drive 6 hours this weekend to test drive and buy the boat.
