Best Prop for Slalom on 2000 Pro Air?

I recently bought a 2000 Pro Air, I just ski'd it for the first time. There is a small rooster tail right at about 15 off (otherwise the boat is great!!). Does anyone have any suggestions on the prop for the best wake?

    Propeller Selection

I just went through propeller selection for my 93 Sport- Bill Weeks at Acme http://www.acmemarine.com is very very helpful. Give him your Hull ID, and tell him what you are looking to do- and they can suggest a match. If the prop does not perform the way you intend, return it and they will send you another--- until you dial in on the correct one.

      RE: Propeller Selection

What prop do you have on the boat now? I *think* CC started using the Acme 422 around 2001, but am not sure the exact year.

On both the 90-96 Ski Nautique and TSC2 196 hulls, I havent noticed much of a difference between the Acme 422 and 470. The OJ Legend 4-blade was also comparable as far as wake characteristics go. The 470 was the hands down winner in regards to performance. I would expect it to work great on your boat as well.

From what Ive read, the Pro Air hull doesnt put out the best slalom wake. It has more of a deep-V design, so the effect a prop has on the wake could be quite different than what Ive seen. Putting a call into Bill Weeks at Acme is good advice either way.

Good advice! I switched out the OJ on my '02 AN for the 422 and the biggest difference I noticed was in smoothness.
