    RE: Thermostat

Look on the thermostat. It should be stamped 160, 142 or maybe 170. the standard thermostat on the GT 40 opens starts to open at 160. Call Skidim. A new one shouldn't be more than $25. Since you have it apart I would replace it and the gasket.

      Thermostat

Seems my one become not sensity, that is 170F Thermostat ,but when boil tempature up to 170F (76.6C) it just begin to open,if keep in 170F,it don't open any more gap, (my be 2mm), This is the old one I swapped out with a 140F Thermostat last year due to high temp, but that don't improve the problem, since foud the culprit was the raw intake valve, the temp. become too low,(150F), I'm thinking swap it back. I may get a new one if if I can't confirm the old one good.
