Need water

I picked up my boat today and got it ready for the water so I checked everything got my garden hose fired the boat and nothing was coming out the exhaust when the boat was running the water wouldn't cycle through the boat I have the thermastat out and the belt off the pump but won't pass last years winterizing through 1998 sport nautique thanks for any help on this matter. :|

Without the pump running it will not suck the water through it. With the pump running you need to make sure that it is not sucking air. You can do this by removing the hose from the through hull fitting and sticking the garden hose into it or you can buy a fake-a-lake.
